Greetings from Minnesota

Post by YukonJasper »

Hello all,
Just picked up a used pellet grill after lusting after them for a while. Only had it for a week, so total newbie. Lots to learn. Looking forward to browsing and mining your collective knowledge and experience.

It is a 4 yo Pit Boss 700. Not as hardcore as some of the rigs I'm reading about you all are running, but I think it will do for now. Still a lot to figure out, wgat type of wood the pellets should be for different applications, how to store them, timing on the cooking, meat prep,......seems endless.

I'm not a pellet guy but I looked up your cooker. That's a 4 to 5 hundred dollar machine. Nice!

Thanks. I wasn't sure why the guy wanted to sell it to me so cheap, but I didn't spend too much time asking. He had it fired up so I knew it worked when I went over to look at it, I bought it and now I am obsessing on the possibilities.... :D
