Southwestern Chicken Rub

Here's a nice little rub, with a southwestern flair, for chicken wings, quarters, or for the whole darn chicken if you wish. For a nice heat bite definitely use the cayenne pepper and for those afflicted with spiceaphobia, then leave it out.
  • 2 tbl Southwest chipotle
  • 1 tbl Chili powder
  • 1 tbl Smoked paprika
  • 1 tbl Brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Sea salt (fine grind)
  • 1 tsp Granulated garlic
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper (fine grind)
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne pepper (optional)
